With raw honesty, playful humor and a pinch of bitterness, Allison Brown’s songwriting explores leaps of faith, toils of the road, bad luck, bad weather, heroes, villains and longing for love and meaning. On her latest album “Stitches & Incisions” (2015), Allison’s sweet and powerful singing invites you to follow her down lonesome railroad lines, into abandoned buildings, back in time, and high above the stratosphere as she paints pictures of landscapes both strange and familiar. As a live performer, whether solo or with support from musical compadre “Uncle” Dan Henshall on mandolin, and others, you can expect a lively mix of well-crafted originals alongside a classic roots, country, gospel, blues and bluegrass repertoire.
